Jeff Everhart

Web Developer

I don’t really take myself too seriously, and neither should you, but here are a few more serious paragraphs about who I am and what I do.

I’m a web developer and teacher based out of South Central Virginia in the U.S.A.

I’ve worked for universities (currently at VCU’s ALT Lab), developed for large corporations, and consulted for a number of startups and small businesses across different industries.

I’ve taught college classes (online, hybrid, and face-to-face) in writing, research, English grammar, and writing pedagogy. On the interwebs, I try to teach people about technology and coding on the blog and Youtube.

I’m the dude who taught himself to program because it seemed faster than counting the number of exclamation points in Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass.

***Spoiler Alert: in the 1855 version, there are 1227

****Spoiler Alert: it wasn’t really faster

Right now, I’m working at the intersection of cutting edge tech (i.e. drones, the IoT, Amazon Web Services, modern Web APIs) and education, technical training, and business.

As a human, I’m a proud father and husband, an amateur vegetable and chicken farmer, and a life long learner who loves to travel.
